Movies to watch this 2012

This post is pretty much out of place here but I just went through a bunch of new trailers for some of the upcoming 2012 movies and they’re actually pretty good. I’ll embed each of them and give a little discussion as to what happened prior to what is shown on each trailer.

The Dark Knight Rises - Official Teaser Trailer #2

Pretty much one of the most anticipated movies of 2012, The Dark Knight Rises is the 3rd (and final?) installment of Nolan’s Batman franchise. The series is know for its astounding characters (Joker anyone?) and here’s to hoping that Selina Kyle’s (Catwoman) and Bane’s characters will not disappoint. I wonder if Gordon-Levitt is Robin in this film?

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Official Trailer #2

Not a fan of the first GR and hopefully this one will make me a convert. Watching Blaze riding in daytime is pretty sweet.

Wrath of the Titans Official Trailer

Looks like Hades will again try to take over his brother’s throne on the latest installment of the Titans franchise. This time, he’s going to unleash the wrath (duh?) of the Titans upon the mortals, immortals and those in-between.

The Expendables 2 Official Trailer

The cast of the first movie was already awesome but when you add legends like Van Damme and Chuck Norris? I don’t know what else to say.

UPDATE

THE HOBBIT Trailer

This just went live today. Not a LOTR fan, not very exciting trailer and too many hobbits. We’ll see how this goes. (For old time’s sake, I’ll watch it).

MEN IN BLACK 3

My bad for missing this one out. J and a younger K is back for another adventure! The time travel thing excites me already.

The Amazing Spiderman

This one was announced earlier this year. It’s important to not that this is not a sequel to Raimi’s spidey. This will feature the Spider-Man from the ultimate universe and from the looks of this trailer (digging the first person wall-crawling), this new take will not disappoint.

The Avengers

Cap, Stark, Thor, Widow, Hawkeye and the Hulk in a single film. That’s the best thing that ever happened in the long history of comic book-based movies. Watch out though, Loki is not the only villain in this movie. ‘Nuff said.

Note: If it has one, watch the installment prior to these movies (especially the avengers, except maybe Ghost Rider) to get the most out of each one. You’ll miss a lot.
